Bayside High School is a high school in Palm Bay, Florida. It is part of the Brevard Public Schools System.
In January 2007 Bayside began an Engineering magnet program known as Bayside Engineering and Technology Academy (BETA).
Bayside opened in August 1998 with grades 9 and 10. Grade 11 was added in 1999, grade 12 in 2000.
On May 12, 2008, the school was evacuated, threatened by a city-wide fire. The school was closed the following day along with other schools in the Palm Bay area.
The school is based on a design by Schenkel Shultz. The final estimated cost was just over $10 million. The school will soon be undergoing a major addition consisting of a classroom building and an auditorium. The project began in summer of 2007 and is expected to take 18 to 24 months to complete.
For the 2006-2007 School year Bayside was rated for the first time as an "A" school under the Florida A++ plan. The school had been rated a "B" for the previous 4 years.
